Departing from Newark with Alaska Airlines turned out to be an unexpectedly enjoyable experience, due to the clean and welcoming atmosphere at Terminal B. Right from my arrival, the signs were straightforward and useful—no anxious searching for gates or facilities. The Alaska Airlines EWR Terminal check-in personnel were friendly and proficient, and the TSA process went faster than I anticipated for EWR. What truly impressed was the terminal’s tidiness and the thoughtful details—ample charging stations, acceptable seating areas, and several good food choices that seemed carefully considered. Alaska’s gate agents were engaging and truly appeared to prioritize timeliness, which alleviated some of the anxiety typically associated with travel days. Although Terminal B may not be extravagant or exceptionally modern, its practicality and warmth certainly compensated for that. It's rare to leave an airport terminal feeling at ease, but this one accomplished it perfectly.
