Project Description

The Occupation Interchange is a web portal that allows the public to search occupations to view the required skills and expected salary.

Data Story

This project makes use of the Australian Skills Classification and the ATO Taxable Income by Occupation to give better expectations of employment to students, the long term unemployed, and those seeking a sea change.
A MS SQL database was created inside a Docker container, and the data files were imported using KNIME Analytics. Some data cleaning was performed in the database using SQL queries.
The data was then exported in json format for consumption by the javascript/react application.
