Project Description

The SAritage app focuses on providing an interactive and intuitive way of displaying the artefacts and exhibits at South Australian museums and art galleries by using Virtual Reality. It also fosters community engagement by providing the people of the community an opportunity to contribute to these institutions of historical treasure.

Data Story

Observing the visual and photographic datasets from the four institutions and comparing them with the exhibits currently being displayed, we found out that most of the exhibits are not accessible to the public who visits the museum since the existing artefacts displayed are not often rotated with the ones not displayed. The institutes hence need a way to portray all their collections digitally.
