Project Description

BizValidator makes it easy for businesses to find the information they need through a government portal. The portal generates a rich dataset of user behaviour that can be used to evaluate the performance of government grant programs and innovation precincts.

Data Story

Hosted and owned by the government, the portal then allows for feedback as to what businesses care about in their location decisions and areas that receive the most interest. The portal generates a rich dataset of user behaviour that can be used to evaluate the performance of government grant programs and innovation precincts.

The platform is designed using a modular open source structure making it easy to extend and modify. With the ability to convert data from anywhere into a standardised grid, it may be used by any city in Australia or even internationally. An API standard has been developed for each of the decision support and indicator modules, to make it easy to add additional models, or even allow users to upload custom data.

This system is designed to scale infinitely but key datasets include:

Victorian and NSW Government Public transport stop locations
Liverpool City Council Pedestrian Sensor data.
Australian Government Stocktake of Australian Innovation Precincts
